Tools for archives, artists and collections

Alongside the archives we design for each client, we have developed a few ready-to-use tools. They grew out of real needs that emerged while working with artists, archives and collections: publishing the catalogue of works, organising images, gathering the photographs of an event, certifying a work.

They can be used on their own or linked to the archive we build with you. Either way, the data remain yours, in Switzerland and Europe, with no advertising and no profiling.

The archives we build for each client are made with Claris FileMaker, the platform we have been using for over twenty years. We develop bespoke solutions in a client-server architecture: the database sits on FileMaker Server and every member of staff works on it from FileMaker Pro on their own computer, at the same time and on the same data.

With FileMaker Go the archive travels on iPhone and iPad, for cataloguing in storage, checking a work at an exhibition or consulting the catalogue during a site visit; with WebDirect it also opens in a simple browser. When needed, we build dedicated apps for iOS and Android, linked to the archive.
